Your First Client - A Roadmap

Your path to closing your first client (from zero)...

When it comes to trust in sales.

Promises are great.

But proof is better.

If you’re struggling to close your first client, listen up.

This one’s for you.

Here’s the exact path I took to get my first client for my service business:

  1. Build your offer and beta test it for free

  2. Refine the proof of concept

  3. Re-launch as a paid offer

Phase one: Beta Testing (MVP)

  1. Pick a niche

  2. Understand their problem

  3. Solve that problem for them

  4. Create a simple service offer

  5. Set up your funnel and get leads

  6. Book calls and deliver the free service

  7. Repeat until you genuinely help people

Step two: Proof of Concept

  1. Overdeliver for clients

  2. Request testimonials (proof)

  3. Get feedback on your service

  4. Use feedback to iterate the solution

  5. Prepare a launch date for your paid offer

Step three: Paid offer

  1. Post content about the problems you solve

  2. Turn the testimonials into marketing assets

  3. Go ham on the manual outreach (warm DMs)

  4. Do everything you did in phase 1 but this time charge money (because it’s actually proven now).

Follow this roadmap and it’s going to be hard to fail.

Why?

There’s nothing more convincing than factual evidence.

Show proof that you can solve their problem.

And they’ll be willing to buy.

It’s just a matter of time.

Talk soon,

Sean
